Democritus, who lived from 460 B.C. to 370, theorized that there exist only Void, an infinite space, and the reality of Being, the physical world.  According to the thinking of Democritus that physical world is comprised of indivisible units, atoms, which are eternal and cannot be seen.                                                                                                           Edited on 09/08/09
